Why I’m Looking Forward To Winter

winter3

As were constantly reminded the fact summer is nearly over by having to turn our heaters back on, wearing extra layers and making good winter foods such as stew, we are reminded that autumn is here and winter is on its way.

If any of you know me, you will know that I don’t like summer, I prefer autumn and that I am a sucker for when it comes to lists. So guess what? Here is another list containing reasons why I am looking forward to winter and why you should too.

Christmas. Apart from the presents each of us will receive on the big day, I am also looking forward to the food, Christmas markets, the festivity, decorations and of course, family time. Personally I love Christmas as there is so much to organise and surprise surprise, more lists. Have you got any special items on your Christmas wish list yet?

Cosy Nights In. Big fluffy blankets, hot chocolate and a cuddle with someone you love are just a few things I look forward to when it comes to winter. There is nothing cosier than a few DVD’s, some yummy treats and toasting your toes in front of the fire (or in my case, the heater). I also love going to bed in thick PJ’s with endless amounts of blankets rather than being too hot to even wear socks!

Snow. So living in a place where it hardly snows, the anticipation of wondering if it will actually snow is just as exciting. Honestly, I don’t really like snow but I do however love the idea of it. Snow makes everything look so pretty, that is until it turns into mush.

Over-sized Jumpers and Winter Boots. I don’t know about you but I would rather wear over-sized jumpers and cute winter boots rather than shorts and vests, unless I’m on a sunny holiday.

If my list doesn’t warm you to the idea of winter, I don’t know what will. Maybe I just prefer the colder days.

Do you have any favourites about winter?

  1. I’m the same, autumn is my favourite season. Although I do actually love summer, once it starts fading I’m ready for it to be gone so I can start enjoying everything you’ve listed above!
