As the seasons are changing and winter is near, the illness bug is on its way weather it’s a cold, flu or cough. When most of us get the sniffles there are a few things we need in order to feel better and I’m not just talking about medication. Here is a list of the Top 5 most wanted things when ill:
Mums are very special and always helpful in certain situations – especially when you’re ill. Doesn’t matter how old you are, you will always need your mum to fix it. The biggest secret thing we love is a mummy cuddle and reassurance that everything is going to be OK, thanks mum.
You Actually Get A Day Off
Many of us get a 2 day break every week in order to re-energise for the week ahead but most of us also work through their day off (i.e checking emails, taking phone calls, etc.) Having a sick day ensures you actually get to do nothing by lying on the sofa with a tub of ice cream to soothe your sore throat by watching rubbish daytime TV, which brings me to my next point.
A New Show
If you’re anything like me where you can actually endure a sick day then you will know watching catch-up TV or start a new series is the best sick day activity. There’s no one there to moan about what you’re watching or any distractions, just hours of TV bliss.
There’s nothing more comforting than having someone come to your every beck and call whilst plumping your cushion at the same time. Ahh lovely.
So if you’re single or you other half is out, your friends are the ones to nurse you back to health. Not only will they help you move whilst laughing at the fact you look hideous, they will also bring a stack of DVD’s, a huge amount of junk food and their latest gossip.
So if you do find that you’re ill be sure to look after yourself. Here’s a few tips to try and help get rid of that horrible cold:
Stay At Home
I’m sure you want to get revenge on whoever gave you this illness but going out and spreading the virus will not help everybody.
You body cannot fight your illness if it isn’t properly fueled. Bring on the chicken soup and hot vimto!
So this one is a bit of an obvious one but I’m guessing there is a lot of you that just suck it up. Taking medication will help soothe your pain whilst also helping to fight off the virus and getting you back to your usual self.
